As Innergize 2025 approaches, we sat down with MaryKelly Rich, Zenoti’s event marketing director, to get an insider’s perspective on what makes this year’s event so special. From the challenges of planning to the surprises in store, here’s what she had to share.

1. What goes into planning an event of this scale?

Putting together an event like Innergize 2025 is no small feat – it’s a year-long journey of creativity, logistics, and collaboration. It all starts with a vision: What do we want attendees to feel, learn, and take away? From there, it’s about bringing that vision to life by coordinating countless moving parts – like venue selection, speaker curation, sponsorships, marketing, and networking events … to name just a few.

Every detail, from the keynote lineup to the lighting and even the coffee breaks, is carefully thought out and perfectly timed. Our goal is to create an experience that’s not just valuable but truly unforgettable. Innergize is designed to stand apart from the usual industry events, and that level of intentionality is what I believe makes it so impactful.

2. What’s unique about this year’s event?

Innergize 2025 is truly one of a kind, and this year, we’re raising the bar by adding the fitness vertical into the mix. It’s the only executive-level event that brings together leaders from salons, spas, medspas, and now fitness, creating a cross-industry experience you won’t find anywhere else. This diversity means every session offers something fresh – new perspectives, strategies, and ideas to spark insights for you.

We’ve also reimagined the event to focus on what really matters: growth, innovation, and leadership. There’s no expo hall, no fluff, and no recycled panels. Instead, you’ll find hands-on learning, peer insights, and networking opportunities designed to deliver real breakthroughs. Based on feedback from last year’s attendees, we’ve also added additional dedicated networking time to help balance learning with building meaningful connections.

We will also showcase what’s next for the beauty and wellness industry, including where AI is taking us. Innergize doesn’t just involve talking about the future – it’s about meeting the people who are building the future and learning how to infuse those insights into your business today. 3. What has been the biggest challenge in planning Innergize 2025 so far?

Fitting everything we want to deliver into just 72 hours! With so many incredible speakers, hands-on activations, and networking opportunities, it’s a balancing act to ensure every moment of the agenda is impactful.  

We’re curating a lineup to suit salons, spas, medspas, and fitness businesses, and we want to make sure there’s something valuable for everyone. Whether it’s a keynote that inspires, a breakout session that dives deep into strategy, or a quick conversation over coffee that ignites a breakthrough – every minute is designed to deliver value.  

It’s a good problem to have, though. The energy and ideas coming from our speakers and partners this year are unmatched, and we’re working hard to make sure attendees leave feeling like their time was well spent – and that their businesses are better for it.

4. Can you share a sneak peek of what might surprise attendees this year?

Without giving too much away, I can promise that attendees will be captivated by our keynote speakers this year. We’ve secured thought leaders who bring fresh perspectives and depth to Innergize.  

For example, award-winning director, cinematographer, and producer Louie Schwartzberg, will show us how gratitude can transform the way we lead, connect, and grow. In business, gratitude is a powerful tool for building stronger teams, creating meaningful customer relationships, and fostering a culture of innovation and resilience. Louie’s insights will inspire you to see challenges as opportunities, embrace the present moment, and lead with intention.

Attendees will also hear from international best-selling author Mark Sanborn, who will share how to set your brand apart by delivering exceptional experiences that inspire loyalty and drive success. And, of course, I can’t wait for attendees to experience the venue for our Golden Hands Awards and Party!This year, we’re hosting it under the iconic Space Needle and within the breathtaking Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum. 5. What would you say to someone on the fence about attending?
